Lisa Ling is currently the host of National Geographic Explorer. This flagship television series airs weekly on the National Geographic Channel. In 2002 Ling became the first female host of the show in two decades. Ling previously brought her "youth perspective" on the world to millions of Americans when she was the co-host of ABC daytime's popular morning talk and entertainment program, The View. Before joining ABC, Lisa was a reporter for Channel One News seen via satellite by more than 8.5 million students in over 12,000 high schools. Lisa reported from more than two-dozen countries including Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, and Kososvo.
