Black Violin has burst onto the music scene with an electric combination of classical instruments and contemporary hip hop. Black Violin is comprised of two clasically trained violinists who have revolutionized classical music by combining the works of Mozart, Bach, Beethoven and Nat King Cole with the music of today's artists such as Fat Joe, Jill Scott, Ludacris, Common, Biggie and Tupac. 	The duo first raised eyebrows as a 3 time winner at the venerable Apollo Theater's Showtime at the Apollo competition. After captivating the Harlem audience, they continued their ascent of notoriety by performing with none other than Alicia Keys at the 2004 Billboard Awards, performing on the same bill as Lloyd Banks, Fat Joe and NAS. Since then the duo's brand of innovative neo-classical and urban sounds has brought them to such stages as The BET Film Fetsival, The South Florida Black Journalists Association and NBC's Good Morning show as well as opening for such acts as Alicia Keys, LL Cool J, Ludacris John Legend and Black Eyed Peas.
