This poet, emcee, essayist, activist and educator has performed nationally and internationally from Cape Town, South Africa at the Parliament Of The World's Religions to Bombay, India.

Also featured in Russell Simmon's Def Poetry Jam currently airing on HBO, Coval has shared a stage with Cornel West and Amiri Baraka, opened for Ani Difranco, closed for Ntozake Shange, got down with jazz legends Kahil El'Zabar and Ernest Dawkins, blessed mics with emcees Bahamadia and Medusa. Kevin teaches and creates workshops for Young Chicago Authors, the Guild Complex, and The University of Hip-Hop, facilitating the growing youth writing community in Chicago.

Coval's work looks critically at current cultural and political events and his Jewish identity. He uses hip-hop to wrestle, expose, and explore the impact of whiteness on himself and people of color. His unique background and ability to diversify any audience, makes him essential to any poetry slam.
