Two years ago Julian Curry was a Vice President for Prudential Securities. Then one night he stepped into a poetry slam. Since that night, he has become a fixture in the New York poetry scene. He is the 2003 Nuyorican Poets Cafe Grand Slam Champion and the 2003 Bowery Poetry Club (Urbana) Grand Champion and the only poet to win both coveted competitions in the same year. In August of 2003 Julian was a member of the Nuyorican National Slam Team which finished 2nd out of 63 teams at the Nationals in Chicago. Julian was featured in the August issue of Forbes Magazine.
