She has titled herself a "Muslim Feminist Cowgirl" reflecting her upbringing and her Colorado home. The daughter of Pakistani immigrants and born in Chicago, she considers herself an all-American girl. Asma is a columnist for the US-based Pakistan Link newspaper.
