George McKibbens has been described as one of the most rugged and ruthlessly rough-voiced MCs. His anger and passion move the room with the strength of one hundred men. That passion helped the 2002 NYC Urbana team win their third National Poetry Slam Championship title in McKibbens first appearance at NPS. He was recently featured on the HBO series Def Poetry, and has toured campuses in America from Massachusetts to Arkansas to California. An accomplished playwright and actor, McKibbens had already seen his work performed on stages in Boston, San Francisco and Seattle at the tender age of 21. His play Utilities ran for three weeks in New York at the Brooklyn Lyceum.
