Kelly Zen-Yie Tsai is a Chinese Taiwanese American full-time spoken word artist, essayist, playwright, and choreographer featured at over 170 venues nationally including two seasons of "HBO Def Poetry." Based in Chicago & New York, she tours the country extensively as a spoken word artist, with "We Got Issues!," and previously with Mango Tribe. Published in numerous journals and anthologies, her first play was excerpted at Chicago's Hip Hop Theater Festival. She has collaborated with notable dance companies like Urban Bush Women and is currently recording a ground-breaking spoken word video and her first album.
