The Twin Poets, Al & Nnamdi have become two of the most recognizable and respected poets on the modern poetry scene. The Twin Poets were the Walt Whitman Slam Champions in 2000, 2001 & 2002. These outspoken wordsmiths were members of the 1999 Philadelphia National Poetry Slam Team, which competed in Chicago at the 10th Annual National Poetry Slam. The Twin Poets also competed in the 2000 National Poetry Slam on the New Jersey team. Community activism remains an initial focus of their artistry. They are the founders of GOALS- Getting Organized Always Leads to Success- a tutoring and mentoring program run out of their home in North Wilmington P.A. community activism remains an initial focus of their artistry. Their experience includes repeated performances at NY's Nuyorican Poets Café, Apollo Theater, PA's Painted Bride, DE's Grand Opera House, and NJ's Atlantic City Uptown Complex.
